Jake Paul and Mike Tyson Set for Heavyweight Showdown with Special Rules

In a surprising matchup, YouTube star Jake Paul will face boxing legend Mike Tyson in a heavyweight bout on November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The fight, to be streamed live on Netflix, will follow special rules to accommodate Tyson’s age of 58.

The bout is officially scheduled for eight two-minute rounds and will count on both fighters’ records. Knockouts are allowed, and the boxers will use 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce ones.

”I’m a little bit crazy, and I’m a little bit scared,” Paul told the Today channel. “This is the toughest fight I’ve had to date against the most experienced opponent.”

Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, is taking on the challenge without a tune-up fight. His last bout ended in a sixth-round stoppage loss to Kevin McBride when Tyson was 38.

Paul, 27, acknowledges the risk but remains confident. “I just plan on outboxing him and showing the world what I’m capable of,” he said.

The undercard features several notable fights, including Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano and Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos.

Paul’s team reports that Tyson is in excellent shape, dropping sparring partners and looking stronger than ever. This has raised expectations for an exciting match despite the 31-year age gap between the fighters.

The event marks a unique crossover between traditional boxing and the world of celebrity bouts, drawing attention from both hardcore fans and casual viewers.
