Wembanyama's Historic Performance Leads Spurs to Victory Over Jazz

In a stunning display of talent, Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to a 106-88 win against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. The 20-year-old French sensation made NBA history with his exceptional performance.

Wembanyama recorded 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and five blocks. This rare “5x5” game marks his second of the season, making him only the third player in NBA history to achieve multiple such performances.

The young star’s impressive stat line included four three-pointers, showcasing his versatility on the court. His dominance was particularly notable against an undermanned Jazz team.

Utah played without key players Lauri Markkanen (back injury) and Taylor Hendricks (broken leg). Jordan Clarkson also left the game early due to left heel pain, further weakening the Jazz lineup.

In other NBA action, the Houston Rockets upset the Dallas Mavericks with a 108-102 victory. Jalen Green led the Rockets with 23 points and 12 rebounds, scoring 11 crucial points in the fourth quarter.

The Rockets, who had struggled against the Mavericks recently, built a 23-point lead before holding off a late Dallas comeback. Dillon Brooks and Alperen Sengun each contributed 17 points for Houston.

Dallas star Luka Doncic scored 29 points, with 15 in the final period. Kyrie Irving added 28 points, but the Mavericks couldn’t overcome Houston’s strong rebounding advantage of 50-37.

The win marks a significant turnaround for the Rockets, who had lost six of their last seven games against their Texas rivals.
